In April, 2014 a wonderful elephant came to live in the garden. Found in an antique shop many years before, Evelyn repainted him and created his serape and jewelry from upcycled Nespresso pods.
Then with cohorts mindoPod and Lori Broham, a cement mixer was rented, a ton of concrete was carried in, a foundation poured, and the elephant was placed in his permanent base.
Work then began on the mosaic base, and over the course of several months the final piece came to fruition. The blue top-dressing to the rock surround is made of melted glass slag.
